Those with this charism work through the Holy Spirit to help restore and heal people who suffer physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually. When they accompany those who suffer, healing occurs more quickly than expected or in remarkable ways.  Their presence is comforting, nurturing, and restorative, revealing the ever-present closeness and providential care of God.

Saint: St. Andre Bessette

André Bessette, C.S.C., more commonly known as Brother André, and since his canonization as Saint André of Montreal, was a lay brother of the Congregation of Holy Cross and a significant figure of the Roman Catholic Church among French-Canadians, credited with thousands of reported miraculous oil healings associated with his pious devotion to Saint Joseph.
